Our Life with Spaniards

Okay, so just over three weeks ago, some students from my school visited Spain. They were there for a week and then the week following their return, the students from Spain that they stayed with came to the U.S. Ash and I were super excited because Turtle was going to be hosting an exchange student. I think it was the first day that the exchange students were here that Ash and I went to the mall with a bunch of them. But before I go into the mall details, I need to tell you about what happened when Ash and I first met Turtle's exchange student Beli. When Ash and I got to Turtle's house we got out of the car and walked up to Turtle and Beli, who were standing on the front porch. Ash and I walk up to them and then Beli stands about a foot away from Ash. Ash just kept talking to Turtle and then realized how long Beli had been standing there. Then when Ash stopped talking (it's a miracle, I know) Beli leaned even closer and kissed Ash on each cheek. We had totally forgotten that in Spain when you meet a new person you kiss them on each cheek! Beli did the same to me but of course I saw it coming so it wasn't quite as awkward for me as it was for Ash. So after that awkwardness we all hoped in Turtle's car, also known as Carlos, and headed for the mall. On the way Ash and I were asking Beli questions and we figured out quickly how much we loved her. We found out super fast how sweet and nice she is. We got to the mall and met up with another friend and her exchange student Meli. Meli and Beli were pretty excited that they were able to speak Spanish even though Meli is amazing at speaking English. Anyways, we did some shopping and then found out that another couple of friends and their exchange student was at the mall. So then we hung out with them while shopping too. Before we left the mall Ash and I had met a total of four exchange students, Beli, Meli, Alvaro, and Marina. They were all pretty cool kids and such. We all sat down and discussed what we wanted to do for the rest of the day. We all decided that we should go to the beach. So we all hopped in our vehicles and headed to the lake. When we got there Ash and I met yet another exchange student named Andres. We all walked and talked and then when we got to the beach we played volleyball in a big circle, which is something that they do in Spain. It was super fun and we all had a grand ole time. After our toes were frozen we left the beach and went out for pizza. We filled a hole corner of the resaurant because there was about 20 of us there. After pizza we all started to head home when Kailey, Meli's host, invited us all to come to her house to watch a movie. So then we went there. We all got settled down and everyone agreed on watching "She's the Man" which I had never seen before. So I got to watch it for the first time ever...in Spanish. It was quite interesting. It was super funny because the Spaniards and us Americans all laughed at different parts and Meli kept saying super funny things in Spanish about the movie. After the movie we got invited to yet another person's house for a bonfire to meet even more exchange students. So some of us went there and also met Machuca, Valle and Hector. We didn't stay very long because the person whose house we were at was trying to show off big time so we got quite irritated. By the time Ash and I got home that night, we had met all but 1 student. So yeah, I could schpeel about when they were at school and such but I don't think anything super exciting happened so I won't even go there.
