The Dance

Oh school dances, aren't they just super entertaining? Well Ash and I went to one this weekend with Turtle, Maddy, and a couple of other friends. To start off the day we got freezing temperatures and an inch of snow. Awesome. So I get all ready and stuff and then Maddy comes to get me and her mother chews me out for wearing sandals. Oops, sorry. We slowly make our way to Ash's house to keep from turning the road into a giant slip and slide, and when we finally get to her house, Maddy's mom got stuck driving up the driveway so my toes got quite snowy. We get inside and eat some lasagna, finish getting ready, play pool and take pictures. Then we were on our way to the dance. So the whole way to the school one of the doors on the loser cruiser was frozen so a little light in the dashboard kept blinking saying the door was ajar. We were really surprised that we made it all the way to school without the door just flinging open. Turtle, Ash and I walked onto the school and stuff and noticed that there was next to no upper classmen. Cool. Turtle had to take pictures for the yearbook so that was pretty entertaining all night. I'll put some of those pics on ASAP. Finally more people showed up so the dance floor, a.k.a. the cafeteria, wasn't so empty. Ash and I each slow danced with one of our friends and that was all cute and such, even though all of his friends would be like watching each of us dance with him. So then we danced the night away and then we had some lovely drama. That's of course always just great. Then the dance was coming closer to an end and when the dj put on a slow song, Ash asked Maddy's crush to dance and they were just talking and singing and everything. So then in the middle of the song, I decided to ask this one guy to dance cause he was just walking around. Most awkward moment of my life. But all in all it was a pretty fantastic night.

Best Bowling Adventure

Okay so I'm thinking that you all think bowling is lame or something like that. But Ash and I and some other friends went bowling and had a fantastic time. First of all Ash's bowling name was Shamkulu and mine was Rosetta. Being teenagers we obviously had to bowl goofy to keep things interesting, so we were being ballerinas and doing the bunny hop and other super crazy stuff (like a three person pyramid!.) So while we were bowling these guys next to us were copying what we were doing. We had them doing the splits and yoga and it was pretty dang hilarious. Then they went back to just chucking the ball down the lane while Ash and I lost like three games. But the most hilarious thing that happened was when one of the two guys chucked his ball and it flew through the air, hit a metal pole, bounced into their lane, bounced onto our gutter and then rolled towards us. The look on this guys face was priceless and I'm pretty sure we will never see the same thing happen again.

P.S. The guy that didn't try and break a bowling ball had three of the aliens from Toy Story on it and I'm pretty sure it was lucky cause he was knocking lots of pins over. Plus those aliens are eternally grateful. :)
